Everton fans have taken to Twitter to express their desire to see Cenk Tosun get another opportunity to lead the line for the club. The Turkey international signed from Besiktas for £27m but has since endured a tough time on Merseyside.
Despite netting over 100 goals in his homeland, Tosun has only managed to grab nine in 45 appearances for Everton since his move, with his last goal coming back in May against Tottenham Hotspur.
As of now, it seems as if Tosun could be as low as fourth in the pecking order for the Toffees. Against West Ham United, Richarlison moved to the central role, whilst Tosun’s 35 minutes in the league is far behind that of Moise Kean’s 288 minutes and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s 480 minutes.
Goals have been an issue for Everton this season, with the Blues netting just eight times in nine league games so far. As a result, it seems as if the fans are calling for the 28-year-old’s return to the pitch to help push them out of the bottom half.
It does look like a lot of supporters have not given up hope on Tosun just yet and they would love it if he got back amongst the goals for their club.
