Everton are closing-in on the signing of Kevin Mirallas, and want the striker to be added to their squad before the start of the Premier League campaign, The Guardian reports.
The Toffees have received an injection of cash by selling Jack Rodwell to Manchester City, and are ready to reinvest in the Olympiakos forward straight away.
Mirallas was the top goalscorer in the Greek top flight last season, and has been linked with a move to Arsenal and other European clubs this summer.
However, David Moyes’ men look set to win the race for the hotshot, and want to conclude a £5.3 million deal before they take on Manchester United this weekend.
Mirallas is on international duty currently, but will fly into Merseyside to undertake a medical and put pen to paper on a deal after his commitments with Belgium are completed.
