Napoli striker Edinson Cavani has been urged by Uruguayan coach Oscar Tabarez to join the Premier League, according to the Daily Mail.
Canvani’s record in Italy speaks volumes of his striking credentials as a striker, bagging 56 goals in 80 games since joining Napoli in 2010. The Uruguay coach is more than convinced his player would benefit from a move abroad, “I think he will surely leave, I don’t know when, but he must go to England or Spain” said Tabarez.
Despite Napoli buying him from Palermo for £14million, the Serie A side value him at an astonishing £35million. However, La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid have not shown any keen interest in the player, which only leaves the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea.
Papers have already suggested that Roberto Mancini has Cavani at the top of his summer shopping list, but with Andre Villas Boas looking to restructure at Chelsea is most likely that the Blues will put in a another bid this summer.
