The Red Devils weren’t drawn into the Deadline Day madness and had their three main signings over the line well before-hand, snapping up Victor Lindelof of Benfica, Chelsea’s Nemanja Matic and Everton’s star striker Romelu Lukaku.
However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing for the Old Trafford outfit. Seemingly keen to acquire a winger, Jose Mourinho missed out on Inter Milan’s Ivan Perisic, while Danny Rose was another target who didn’t end up joining the United ranks.
