According to a report in The Scottish Sun, Sheffield United are the latest English club to show an interest in signing Rangers midfielder Glen Kamara.
What’s the word, then?
Well, The Scottish Sun says that the Blades have joined the likes of Arsenal, Brighton and Hove Albion, Crystal Palace, Burnley, Aston Villa and Leeds United in tracking the player the Scottish Premiership giants signed for just £50,000 less than 12 months ago.
Chris Wilder is described in the report as being ‘a huge admirer’ of the Finland international, who helped his club side reach the knockout stages of the Europa League, and his country qualify for their first major tournament in their history.
The Blades boss sent scouts from the Yorkshire outfit to watch the 24-year-old in action in Rangers’ 2-1 Old Firm win against Celtic last month, where he picked up a 7/10 rating from The Daily Record for his display.

Kamara can be a United star
Sheffield United are crying out for some competition for Oliver Norwood in midfield, and Kamara very much looks to fit the bill.
He has been described as a “very clever footballer” by Gers boss Steven Gerrard, who certainly knows what it takes to be a top-class midfielder.
The Liverpool legend says he likes the way Kamara receives the ball, which then leaves him ready to make forward passes.

He isn’t afraid to get stuck in either though, as shown by the yellow card he picked up during the Old Firm derby win where he was part of a midfield that gave their arch-rivals no time on the ball.
The Scottish Daily Mail (December 1, 2019, back page) even suggested that Juventus were contemplating a move for the former Arsenal starlet, who is continuing to flourish under the tutelage of Gerrard.
It remains to be seen whether any of the aforementioned interested clubs make a move this month and are able to tempt the Finnish star south of the border again.
