Manchester United are currently in negotiations to bring Valentim on board as part of Amorim’s staff, as per Portuguese outlet Record. The 49-year-old was specifically requested by Amorim, having worked most recently at Sporting Braga. Valentim is well-regarded in Portuguese football and is available this summer after stepping down from his role at Braga.

After clearing out much of the previous coaching setup, the new manager has already brought in several familiar faces from his time at Sporting CP.
