The Reds are currently top of the Premier League table by eight points from Leicester City, having won 12 out of their first 13 games this season in the top flight, and they are also the reigning European champions. There has not been a better time to be a Liverpool fans since 1990.
Given the club’s success, it seems the club’s owners want to take advantage.
On Friday, plans for the expansion of Anfield were revealed, which will now take the stadium’s capacity to 61,000. That will be an increase of over roughly 7,000 seats, and it will see them edge closer to the size of Old Trafford, home of arch-rivals Manchester United.
Unsurprisingly, the supporters love the new plans, with many excited to see what the atmosphere will be like once the work is eventually finished.
